Sharon's room is starting to look like a room, although I still have some serious work to do before she arrives. I have four days open for working on this before she comes at the end of the month, my time is constrained now because Renaissance Faire begins this coming weekend. Although I don't mind missing week two, I do insist that we attend opening weekend, so on Sunday we'll put on our Ren clothing and set off for the Fest grounds, about an hour away in the opposite corner of the larger Metro area. It'll be nice to be back again.

I love deer, and I think they're almost surreal when I see them walking in our suburb, but they're really irritating me this year by eating my plants. ARGH! |
My cherry tomato plants are starting to give me ripe fruits, and they're SOOO good! My other, larger container tomato plant, however, has been deer-munched. Every tomato it has been bearing has been nipped off, and the tops of the plant have been clipped clean, almost like a scissors was used. The deer have been hitting that tomato and our lilies hard this year and we're not very happy about it.
Still, the back yard is our little bit of paradise, even though the mosquitoes have finally joined the party. It's just heaven to sit outside with a drink and relax. We have to grab it while we can. All too soon we'll be dealing with falling temps and then freezing ones. That endless wheel of life. Have a wonderful Monday and I'll be back tomorrow!
