Moving Along - Plans, Tickets and Stuff 'n Such

Since the downstairs cubbies are ready for stuff now, DH and I brought home boxes of magazines we are moving over when we left work last night. He said he'll take time today to get them into their holders and onto the shelving. He'll also come by at some point and we'll put the top stone and the top piece of sheet metal for the soldering table into the truck. He'll take them home and we'll unload them when I get home from work. Measuring again last night, I think we'll leave the table the size that it is instead of cutting it down 6"-10" in depth. It's big, but it fits the space just fine.

DH and I measured the space for the soldering bench and jeweler's
bench once again last night. Everything should fit well. Apparently
I vacuumed up his markings when I cleaned the breezeway a week or
so ago. No apologies from me - the room was filthy and needed a
deep clean.

The indoor pool at my YMCA is closed for 3-4 weeks for re-tiling and upgrades, forcing all of the swimmers to use the outdoor pool. It's actually a lot of fun to swim outdoors, especially when the sun is coming up - it's just beautiful. I really wish I was in the water too, but it gets really crowded when we have only the one pool open. I guess I'm grateful (in a rather backhanded way) that I can't swim just yet. I've been given the go-ahead to do a little bit, but I think I'll dive into that later in September.

I usually pre-purchase my tickets for the Fair at a reduced price
at a local grocery store. Tickets are still a deal, though, only
$12 in advance for discounted tickets. That's a small amount
for a lot of fun and entertainment. During the days of the
Fair's run, more than 2 MILLION people will pass through
the gates into the Fairgrounds.

Meanwhile, I'm focused on getting my house clean and presentable for Sharon's visit, and also planning to purchase my State Fair and Renaissance Faire tickets tomorrow. I need to have everything ready to go, and should probably make sure I have enough cash on hand for four very expensive days while Sharon visits. We always have such fun, but it's not an inexpensive visit. Still, I don't care - it's well worth it to spend time with a dear friend wandering a place I love to explore and catching up on lots of Denver news.

I can usually get a good deal on Renaissance Fest tickets too, but this
year's offerings seem to be sparse. I'll have to hunt a bit more. Right
now it's looking like I can find discounted tickets, but not the 2-for-1
deals I have found in the past. Bummer!

It appears, from comments from friendly readers, that I'm not alone in my deer problems. I'm just grateful that they rarely go into the upper yard. They might have decimated my lower yard tomato plant, but my two varieties of cherry tomatoes are doing splendidly and are VERY tasty. Last night's salad featured tomatoes from my own plants! So good!!!

Have an excellent Tuesday and smile - a lot. Smiles always are infectious; once seen, they can't help but be mirrored. Pass those good feelings along and I'll be back tomorrow.
