I'm taking my "Blue Ribbon Bargain Book" to work with me today, to examine in close detail and mark pages I want to use. I always pre-purchase discount entrance tickets as well as two Blue Bargain Coupon Books, one for Sharon and one for me. The books are a real bargain - usually using one or two coupons has repaid the initial cost and everything else is icing on the cake.
I had to chuckle while listening to CNBC yesterday (we always have it on the TV in the back room while the radio plays in the front room for our customers). One of the regular commentators is a Minnesota guy, and apparently he was heading out for the Fair because his closing line was "State Fair, Baby!!!" I had to laugh, I totally understand where he was coming from. As I've said in earlier posts, you either love or hate the State Fair, but there's not a lot of middle ground.
My knee has been bothering me a lot, so I'm backing away from walking the track today and I'll do a cardio workout on the elliptical and the bicycle instead. The knee is still going to be used, of course, but the actual actions will pull the muscles differently and might be a bit better for my knee today. I see my PT on Wednesday and I'll be asking him about this latest symptom/pain to hit me. I really HATE falling apart - aging truly sucks.

The Brisket Grilled Cheese at RC's BBQ got great reviews. I'm seriously thinking about several items at this venue because their Hot Hen loaded fresh potato chips looked pretty awesome too. |
On that note, I think I'll hunt up some State Fair food to share with all of you. I won't be eating or taking photos of my own food choices for another week, but I can share future plans and dreams. Have a wonderful Friday and I'll be back tomorrow.
