I'm hoping for some serious computer time later today to catch up with all of your comments and the posts you've made over the past week that I haven't responded to. My computer time has been very limited lately and I have rarely had time to check up after my daily post. It's very rude of me to not respond to comments quickly, nor to be keeping up with you - my readers and my friends. Please accept my apologies - it was't you, it was my total lack of time.
Today I have my "day off", and as usual, it's filled to the brim. I start out swimming, of course, but then things get hectic for a while. I run home, toss my swim towels into the laundry and start the first of my Wednesday loads.
Piling back into my car, I head out to White Bear Lake - a suburb usually about 10-15 minutes away if traffic is light and I can speed. At this time of the day, traffic will NOT be light and speed will depend on other cars sharing the freeway with me. I have 30 minutes of time and I hope it will be enough.
Drop Minion off for servicing. It might be the most relaxing time for my day, but it's also annoying because I can't really do anything but read while I wait for my car repair to be completed. Still, this is PRIORITY NUMBER ONE for my day. It makes me very nervous when my car attempts to talk to me.
After Minion is released from car hospital, I can see what I can do. Timing is everything. If possible, I'll get the shop ready for business and then leave. It's helpful when I can do this for the staff, but if I can't, my Manager can do it. I just have to let him know one way or the other.
Returning home, I'll pull out one load of laundry and start a second one. Then I'll head over to the grocery store and - happy dance here - I'll also pick up my new pair of glasses which are ready for me. That was FAST turnaround - I only ordered them last week! I can hardly wait to see better. On my way for these errands, I'll also quickly drop off my approval forms and the check for our accountant to file our personal income tax return. We're getting a refund, but nothing close to last year's amount. *Sigh*.
The rest of the day will alternate between laundry, housecleaning, some computer work, and some catch-up stuff. Aearwen will be tied up today (possibly ... probably ... she'll let me know), so we'll miss our regular conversation. I'll end the day by cooking dinner and sweeping and washing my kitchen floor.
I'll then give myself permission to collapse - Wednesdays are usually exhausting and very busy. I hope your day will be a bit less hectic and that all things go well for you on this 4th day of April. As usual, I'll be back tomorrow. Oh happy day - LOL.
