Designing

I had a vision in mind for my 2011 BFAC project and tried several approaches to make it reality. But I just couldn't get my mind wrapped around the design when I put it into 3-D form. Yesterday another thought came my way and that might work. So, in essence, it is back to the drawing board - or sketchbook in this instance. The only thing that I am still happy with is the additional bead that I added to the mix. That color is still working. I need to stick some glass into my kiln and see what I can form on my grinder. If I can form what my head is seeing, well...then possibilities will exist once again. Usually I see the finished items in my head and it's just a matter of working towards that end. Not this time. The colors have my creativity stymied and I'm really struggling here.
But it is obvious that struggle was not the case for Marilyn Peters-Chu and the 2010 BFAC kit. Her piece for auction is pictured above. I know it would be a wonderful addition to your personal beadwork collection, so why not visit the auctions and put in a bid. They will end on Sunday and the next week's items will be featured in next week's blogs.
