New Week, New Chances

OK, doing laundry would not normally send me into paroxysms of glee, but I was working at the shop for our End of Year Sale on Wednesday, and I really, really, really like clean sheets. So, instead of just playing Lord of the Rings Online or working on my latest art project on Sunday, I did laundry. Three loads of laundry. There is something so wonderful to walk into my room this morning and view an empty laundry basket, to use a fresh towel for my shower, and to have slept in nice, clean sheets last night. What can I say? I get pleased easily - LOL. But it is making me happy, just to think about that feeling of accomplishment and the positive feelings that it generated.
That's the kind of feeling that I also can get with a successful project. My DH gave me the gift of $100 for a tool of my choice. I have been putting a lot of thought into this and, currently, am torn between getting a glass grinder, something I've wanted for a long time, or a pitch pot and appropriate red pitch, something that I've also needed. I just can't quite make up my mind on this, and I know I need to catch this while he still has the money for it. So, I'll have to make up my mind quickly. But these are the fun dilemmas....

And Sunday was the birthday of JRR Tolkien. So, I extend birthday wishes to the Master and thank him (yes, posthumously) for his talent and vision. It has sustained me for more than 40 years and will still be a force in my life on the day that I leave the Circles of Arda.
