In between visits and catch-ups at the State Fair, we took a few hours out to attend the Titanic, The Artifact Exhibition at the Science Museum on Saturday morning. Sharon had flown out to Saint Paul several years earlier when we had the major Titanic exhibit in the old Depot in downtown Saint Paul. I was given free tickets to the exhibition by a relative and she flew out to attend it with me. So we're pretty savy when it comes to Titanic. We went to the current exhibition because it not only featured items and history about Titanic, but also items and information about the Carpethia. The Carpethia rescued the 700+ survivors from the Titanic disaster. Several years later the Carpethia (along with its' sister ships the Lusitania and the Mauritania) was sunk while assisting in the war effort for World War I.

I'll be getting caught up on Emails and work for a week at least, but it was so VERY worth it to have some time off. The embroidery has been started on my cloak and I have a new and fancy cell phone. My vacation cocoon has been opened and I'm starting to emerge. Yippee! Oh, and the above pic is of Sharon and me (I'm the blonde on the left) in front of the main staircase on Titanic. Pretty cool!
