Our get-together with our friends last night went very smoothly. Jim purchased enough food to feed an army, so no-one went hungry and we'll have food for the coming week without having to buy more. The bar-b-qued meatballs and shrimp on ice were both eaten down well and the sliced mesquite chicken was the more popular of the cold cuts. I have fruit salad to munch on for the next few days (never a problem there - I love fruit) and I still have a little cheese and some ham and roast beef for sandwiches. It was a joy to have Rich, Cindy and Jeni over again - it's been way too long since we've been together. We've been friends for 30 years - a long time.
And now I can continue on with my life. I have coupons for Dick Blick and Michael's that I can use on Wednesday, and I'm going to focus on my cloak for the next two weeks and get that finished. Ren Fest starts on Saturday and we'll be out there on Sunday to welcome in the new season. I'll need that cloak within a few weeks. Also, the State Fair will be starting in 10 days, and my BFF Sharon will be visiting over the Labor Day weekend. So many wonderful things to look forward to. I hope you have wonderful things to look forward to also! Have a great Monday :-)
