DH gets the "joy" of dealing with the plumbing today. My bathroom sink has been backing up really badly, and needs a serious cleaning out. Because of the way the house is made, the upstairs bathroom (DH's bathroom except when I share while Sharon's visiting) extends south from the pipes, the main floor "hostess" bathroom (that's a bathroom with only a toilet and a sink, but no shower or bath) extends north of the pipes, and finally, the lowest level might also be tied into this. I know the piping down that wall also has the pipes extending off it for the shower in the lower level. All of these pipes come together in the ceiling of the sub-basement (the craft room) and we've had to go into those pipes too many times to attempt to get things cleaned out. That's when we usually call Jack - LOL.
DH might end up texting me to call Jack. The bathroom sink may end up being too much of a job. He'll start by snaking the pipe, but I'm pretty sure he'll have to disassemble the catch-pipe (the "U") and do a thorough clean. DH HATES doing plumbing work, and I don't really blame him. I'm just grateful that I'll be at work while he's dealing with this mess. I'm sure I'll come home to a lecture about turning the water on higher when I brush my teeth (which causes the water to back up in the sink). *SIGH*
So, that's what DH will be doing today - oh joy! LOL I, on the other hand, will be at the shop trying to figure out what he left for me to do and trying to get in touch with my trivet repair customer. I've emailed my customer about her trivet a couple of times, and she hasn't returned any comment. I'll phone her today if I don't find any response in my emails. Thanks to the generosity of several of my readers, I'll be able to get her trivet to her for the original $20 that she THOUGHT was the quotation (somehow not hearing or ignoring the "per hour" that followed that dollar amount). I'd love to get this into her hands and off my backroom printer, where it's sitting until pick-up.
In ice hockey (or just hockey in my house) the Minnesota Wild just signed Marat Khusnutdinov to a two year entry-level contract. The Forward (that's the position he plays, for those of you not into hockey), is an exciting player who came to their attention when he was playing with the SKA Saint Petersburg team before being traded to HC Sochi in October. He's Russian, from Moscow, and he's fun to watch. We've got him on a two-year contract, and the higher-ups are expecting great things from him.
So, I'm going to wrap this up, catch up on some emails, and head out. I don't want to be anywhere near DH while he's dealing with plumbing - LOL. Have an excellent Saturday and I'll be back on Monday. Slava Ukraini and חיים למען ישראל.
