Time Disappears So Easily!

I started out this morning with lots of time, but now I'm rather tight on it, so this might be a short post today. We'll see how my thoughts and fingers roam.

A roaming mind is a terrible thing to
waste - LOL.

Yesterday actually turned into a very busy and accomplishment-heavy day. I made my tomato and pepper soup - it turned out REALLY tasty. It's in the refrigerator now ready to feed me for the next week. I also roasted the large squash I hadn't gotten around to cooking yet. It also turned out really good. It'll be an red-orange week between the squash and the tomato and pepper soup.

I had a large butternut squash from last week's
shop waiting for me to have time to cube and
cook it. Yesterday was The Day and it turned out
beautifully, as expected. It's hard to beat a good
recipe, and one that's easy and quick in addition
is only on the plus side.

The appointment at the accountant (for the business income tax return) was all of ten minutes and we were back out and on our way home. Our personal taxes, which won't be as easy, will still have to be scheduled. We haven't received all of the statements, etc yet, so that one always gets pushed a bit. Plus, I know DH will want to talk with Paul about retirement income distributions, etc.

I generally do three loads on Wednesday and one
on Sunday, but added bedding to my loads
yesterday. I don't have to wash my comforter
often, but felt it needed a bit of TLC.

I actually managed to get FOUR loads of laundry done yesterday instead of my usual three. I decided to start my day by washing the comforter I use on my "bed". It's been a while and I was sure it could use a good wash. It turned out beautifully, and was back on my "bed" in time for last night's sleep. In fact, my scheduling yesterday worked out well for everything, although I'm not quite finished with the reweave repair. Oh, the necklace restring repairs are 50% done, and will be complete by the end of today. I restrung the longer strand on Tuesday, but needed to double my thread thickness, so I had to pre-stretch another two lengths of silk for the second piece. I should be able to get to that today, if we're not super busy.

By the end of the week I should have my two repairs
completed. That'll be a wonderful thing because I don't
like falling too far behind on things like that.

So, by Friday I should (under ideal conditions) have all of my pending repairs completed. Then I can get back to other tasks once again. It's always fun for me to pick up a needle and thread to work with beads, though, and now that I had my cataract surgery, my vision is up to the task once again. WHOOT!

Sometimes it seems as if we are drowning in quicksand.
It's hard to get out, but it can be done. I find that sharing
things through my blog helps me quite a bit, and reaching
out to friends online also helps me pull myself out of
sticky situations. May you have an un-sticky day today!

I'm off to the swimming pool for my final swim of the week. This week's swims have been harder, for some unknown reason. I can't quite figure out why, but that's a fact. I'm not super happy about that, but I know that's not unusual. Maybe because I haven't been able to lose myself in my current audio book. I'm working my way down a long series and this particular volume is a bit "meh". Still, I'm in the pool, I'm getting in my laps, I'm seeing my friends, and it's actually a really good thing. So ... no complaints allowed - LOL. Have an excellent Thursday and I'll be back tomorrow. Slava Ukraini and חיים למען ישראל.
