Yesterday was VERY Busy, But I Accomplished Things - LOL

Yesterday actually went fairly smoothly. I got a load of groceries, and since I didn't have things that would melt, I continued on my errands, groceries in the back of Minnion. Next stop was Barnes & Noble books, where I finally, after searching through the whole store, decided on a substitute holiday card that I could live with, and ... of course picked up a few books for DH's holiday gifts. Also, of course, I forgot to buy him a B&N gift card, which is a standard gift for him. I'll have to drop back over there before the holiday to get one for him.

There's just something wonderful about spending time
wandering the stacks of a bookstore. They even had one
table devoted to works of TJ Klune, a favorite author for
many years for me, and one of their top books of the year
several years ago. He's put out several new books since that
time, and if you haven't read him, maybe try "The House
in the Cerulean Sea". It's fabulous.

Then it was on to my other errands. I didn't even get back home until almost 11:00 am, when I continued with my laundry and worked in the kitchen for the rest of the day until my 4:00 pm weekly conversation with Aearwen. "Whew" It was a busy, busy day.

Our postage stamp rates have increased (not that
I really pay much attention to that). But, I am out of
stamps, so had to purchase new ones for all of you
this year (except my overseas friends). You're getting
snow globes this year. Do you remember snow globes
from when you were a child? I remember them
very fondly.

But, looking at my refrigerator, now filled with eight portions of stuffed peppers and another eight containers of my baked pears and apples for breakfast, I'm pretty happy. Satisfied, even. So, although I'm running quite tight on time for this post today (having slept until my 3:00 am alarm actually went off), I'm "content". Or as least as content at this time of the year will allow. If all goes smoothly, holiday cards - purchased and hand-made - will be mailed on Friday. I have all of my domestic postage purchased, but will still need to collect my overseas cards before purchasing those stamps. Still, within 48 hours of now, cards should be in the mail.

I love using the small bell peppers and making
stuffed peppers. I made a batch yesterday that will
give me 4-8 days of meals (depending on whether
I eat one or two peppers for dinner). They're so
very tasty.

Right now, however, I still have to do a couple of things before leaving for the swimming pool, so I'm calling this post finished and starting another busy day. Have an excellent Thursday and I'll be back tomorrow. Slava Ukraini and חיים למען ישראל.
