I'm A Bit Late Today - Thanks To My On-line Friends and Time to Cook

It's a bit of a late post today because I wanted to catch up with comments and feedback before diving into it. I've been so crunched on time I simply haven't been able to respond as quickly as I should. I offer apologies to all of you who are lovely enough to comment for the late replies.

I always appreciate the feedback I get from all of you, and
apologize for the late responses over this week. It's been
a busy one, but you're just as important as other things
on my schedule. Thank you!

Today's "day off" will consist of making Ogre Juice for the next week, and I have eight smaller Bell peppers in the refrigerator screaming at me to stuff them. Although that's a labor intensive two hours between the two tasks, the payoff will be some lovely food for the upcoming week.

My grocery store sometimes has these lovely smaller
bell peppers that are perfect. I have some leftover
rice substitute from earlier this week, so I have everything
I need except the ground meat - an easy thing to get at
the store today.

I have no idea what we're eating for Sunday. I always have food in the fridge that I can eat, and he has a freezer full of meals that he can, so we certainly won't starve. But I was thinking some Bar-B-Que ribs in the crockpot might not be a bad thing. It's cold, and we're wrapping things up for the season. Himself drained the hoses and put them into the shed for the off season. I pulled the hummingbird feeder and cleaned it thoroughly for the winter, and DH also put all of the garden decorative statues into the shed until next Spring. He planted a few late bulbs yesterday, but we'll be below freezing by Sunday, so I'm not sure how well they'll do.

Winter is coming. They're actually predicting some snow
on Sunday. It's not going to be like the Halloween Blizzard of
many years ago, but still ... there are many times we don't
get our first snowfall until Thanksgiving, or even Xmas.
A Halloween snow is quite early for us. *sigh* It's going
to be a long winter.

Although we've had warm Halloween holidays in the past, it's looking like this one will be quite cold. I don't think we'll have any snow, but it won't be comfortable Trick-or-Treat weather either. We rarely get any kids, and will sometimes have a few college students from the college across the street, but generally, my Halloween nights are undisturbed. I'm hoping that will continue to be the case this year.

I really enjoy the things I like to cook in the colder months -
the heartier foods. I cook a lot of chili, stuffed peppers,
stuffed cabbage rolls, and other hearty foods in the
winter. So good!

So life progresses onward. Last night's hockey game ended up with a 7-2 score, and unfortunately we had the 2. SUCKS! I'm quite sure I'll be able to keep busy today, though. I might have to write a list of things I need to do, since I tend to get caught up in cooking and forget about other things on my agenda - LOL. I hope you have a marvelous Friday and I'll be back tomorrow. Slava Ukraini and חיים למען ישראל.
