Today starts "Hell Week", an eight workday period of no Chickie. Admittedly, this isn't new for either of us. I've taken time off to attend Bead & Button's annual show, and Chickie has gone off to Montana before. But neither of us has been away when DH has been occupied solely on working in the basement. He's usually been upstairs, and easy to contact if we needed assistance on the sales floor. Now it's much more difficult to get his attention so that he can come up and be of assistance. *sigh* I'm totally dreading the next week plus days.
Sharon's birthday is on Sunday and although I've been looking for over a month, I just haven't found the perfect gift for her this year. I'm running out of time and will have to fall back on a stand-by that's unimaginative, but at least useful. I'm disappointed in myself. She deserves the absolute BEST because she's stuck with me through thick and thin. And I'm going to the mundane for her. *sigh* Perhaps I'll find the perfect gift at the State Fair to pass along to her while she's visiting in a bit over a month.
DH and I spent a rather frustrating Sunday trying to get things aligned so that he could send an email to a supplier who might be interested in purchasing some of his aircraft materials. He has set up a corporate email and web presence (with Chickie's help) but so far we're just not getting emails that are sent to that address coming through on both his computer AND his phone, although we have that set up to happen. He needs to know if he is getting any response from his offer, and he's not on the laptop all the time (far from, since the laptop is actually MINE, and I use it a lot). We left things at an impasse yesterday afternoon, barely spoke over dinner (which turned out beautifully tasty) and I joined him for an hour of TV late last night, again with little/no conversation between us. It's frustrating. He knows what he needs the website to do, and can't get the settings quite right. It's not my personal area of computer expertise, so I'm not much help either.
We were so busy with this, that I didn't even get a chance to see the final day of Le Tour de France, and only spent 1/2 hour in the garden on a beautiful day. I did take advantage later in the day to finish watching the episode of Project Runway I had started. Question for my Project Runway fan friends - is Season 20 the current season? (I think it is) and if so, what episode are they currently airing? I want to know how many episodes I can stream before I'll be caught up.

This year's winner of Le Tour de France was Jonas Vingegaard, by over SEVEN minutes! It was a massive win of more than seven minutes ahead of the next competitor. Simply GIANT! |
On that note, I'm off to start my busy day. I hope all of you have a wonderful Monday and I'll be back tomorrow for a quick post before heading off to the pool. I'm going to desperately need my swimming this week, for sure! Slava Ukraini.
