I borrowed my husband's tablet computer yesterday to attempt something a bit different for a database I've been making. It actually worked quite well for what I needed it for. I'm making an overall database of bead stores in the USA; places I can contact to potentially find buyers for some of my stock as we get closer to closing. Speaking of which, although DH says he's working for a December close, he says it might be April, although that's firm for him. April would actually be better. I've done too many winter moves to want to deal with another one. And since I'm not going to the family reunion, my time crunch has somewhat disappeared. That gives us a final Christmas season, although we're almost out of ornaments for our tree (and the tree itself is almost dead in any case - if an artificial tree can actually die - LOL).

Today is a bit crazy, but I'll have some extra time too, so I might get some house things done that really need doing. Oh! And I have to remember to feed my hummingbirds. |
Today's schedule will be a bit crazy. I do need to figure out if I need to make some dinners. I know I don't need to make a new batch of Ogre Juice until Friday, so I might work on housecleaning and some miscellaneous things I've had on the back burner for a while instead. I've got meatloaf in the freezer from last week's cook, so I might just stick with that.

Sometimes life does get in the way of living it. The little things - those chores and the mundane - work their way to the top of the pile and they just have to be dealt with. No choices. |
No call with Aearwen today. She's got some inspector or some sort at her house today, right at the time that we would usually settle to chat. That's no problem. Life does get in the way sometimes. We will pick up again next week and not miss a beat. She's quite excited about the new home, but has to be out of her old for in 30 days, and frankly, she's lived there for decades, so it's a LOT to do with very little help from any of the kids. I think Vanna, her daughter who lives a bit south of her, is going to be coming up to help. Maybe she was there late last week, or maybe she'll be coming up this week. Either way, another set of hands will be very appreciated. I wish I lived a bit closer, I'd certainly be willing to pitch in and help if I could.

Life is a long series of adjustments. The better you get at adjusting your perspective, the better you'll be at accepting what life has to throw at you. |
So I'm off to the pool. Yesterday's swim was so marvelous that I was in the pool for almost a full hour. I completely lost track of the number of laps I was doing, but I had 55+ minutes on my watch, when normally I'm out of there at the 48-50 minute mark. It was a perfect day for swimming, and I totally lost myself in it. Hopefully today will be just as enjoyable. Have an excellent Wednesday and I'll be back tomorrow. Slava Ukraini.
