A Very Busy Wednesday - Days Off are Days On

It's my "day off" today and it's 3:43 am. I've got less than 1/2 hour to pull this together and get it up to start my day, and I've already done my morning meditation, my morning solitaire games on my phone, and put a load of wash into the laundry. I'll be grocery shopping later today, and I'd probably better figure out what fish I want to defrost for Friday's dinner. If I don't do that, I'll have to buy fish instead. I can figure that one out after I return from my Wednesday swim.

I play a variety of different solitaire games on my phone
every morning to wake up my mind. At least two of
them are solitaire card games.

I've had my new watch for a bit over a week now, and I'm loving it for my swims. I totally forgot to set it onto "swim" mode the first few days, but have managed to remember a couple of times now. Today I'll try to get everything ready to go so that I get a more accurate reading, but so far I've been managing 44 laps in 50 minutes, and I'm pretty happy with that. I'd like to increase my speed just a touch to get one more lap (at a time) into the time frame, but it's nice to have that measurement.

Since I don't have a lot of cooking on my agenda, I can
work on some housecleaning instead.

Today, being my "day off", is already packed with so many things to do. DH did do some cleaning yesterday, coming up with a few things for me to review or look over when I arrived home from the shop yesterday. I'll try to take a serious look today and see what I can do on my end. It would be lovely to recapture my "dining room" once more. I suppose many people have a "junk" room, but usually it's somewhere in the basement, not their dining room. It's quite clear that I don't have people over to share a meal - LOL.

Having the family over for a meal or an event certainly
isn't quite like a mob with pitchforks attacking the house,
but it can seem that way. Just too many people for me to
handle in my poor house. Nope ... not happening!

Of course, in my family, having people over to share a meal means having more than 20 people of assorted ages descending upon a single house. My house isn't the smallest one that hosts the family get-togethers, but we're not the the largest either. Basically, once the kids grew up and had families of their own, we stopped having family get-togethers in my home. Just too many people for me to handle.

I could handle a family get together like this - although I
don't have a single room for that many around a table.
Still, this is a manageable number. But there's ten people
just with two of my nieces and their families. Not counting
my third niece or any of my four nephews and their
families. No ... I'll leave the family get-togethers to those
willing to host that many people. But it's NOT me.

So, I'm off to the pool. I have one load already washing, and I'll get to the grocery store later this morning. I'll make a batch of Ogre Juice (alkagizers) today so that I'm set for the next week, and I'll continue with some housecleaning. I don't need to do a major cook, I have plenty of chili to take me through the week's meals. On that note, I'm out of here. I'll be back tomorrow. Slava Ukraini.
