Yesterday's phone call actually went very well, although nothing like I had envisioned. I think he can do exactly what he says he can do, but he's EXPENSIVE. VERY expensive. I'll work my way through the videos on his website and I'll try to force DH to do the same. I can scrape up the funds (not easily, but it is do-able) and I think he can do the job, but I'm on the fence with this one.
I spent a busy day with customers, my thoughts returning to the conversation all day, and I went to bed at 8:00 pm to get an extra hour of sleep because the three hours I had gotten the night before simply weren't enough. I am grateful to be swimming today. Swimming usually pulls my mind from everything except the stroke and whatever plot my audio book is on, and I need that pull-back.

I can usually lose myself in my swimming routine and shelve other thoughts for the hour or so I'm in the water. That's exactly what I need to do today. I need to shelve the thoughts for a short time. |
I'm hoping today will be a normal Tuesday. I also hope I'll be as busy as I was yesterday. It was cold - very cold. But there wasn't any snow and Minnesotans come out in the cold without any problems at all. We know how to dress for it and we're comfortable in it. (I fully admit that cold isn't my favorite, but a good down coat can go a long way toward comfort). I was busy all day - not huge sales, but constant. I like days like that.
So I'll be in the pool in an hour and ready to start another day. If I have time at the shop today, I'll also start working through all of the videos on Retail Sales Pro's website. He promises he can have the store cleared of everything including fixtures within 4-6 weeks, and I believe him. Now to try and figure out how to afford to hire him and get onto his schedule for this year. I suspect I'll have to push our closing out to October to manage this along with the other things that are set in stone for us (my family reunion and Sharon's visit for the State Fair). I'll need a clear 4-6 weeks to accomplish this, and I'll need some staff to help people, so I'll have to think about some temporary people as well. Maybe a relative or two?
Anyway, one step at a time. Today is a "watch videos" day, and tomorrow is unknown. Have an excellent Tuesday and I'll be back tomorrow. Slava Ukraini.
