Happy Friday and final day of September. Tomorrow is the beginning of October - can you believe it? In a month we'll be celebration Samhain (Halloween for the more playful vernacular) and the wheel of seasons will be moving towards Yule. The stamp image I've decided on for this year's Holiday Card should be delivered no later than Monday. That's good, because I'm getting started on these VERY LATE this year. They won't be as elaborate as last year, but every year is different, and I love making them. My available time is more constricted this year, so less elaborate is a good thing - LOL.

I did a search on "constricted" for my photo for this paragraph, and this came up. I loved it, so I'm sharing it with all of you. There's so much in this that resonates with me. |
I have heard from most of my friends in Florida and they all managed to get through Ian in fairly good shape. But what a disaster. The barrier islands got slammed, and I'm sure the deaths and injuries are higher in the islands than they had anticipated, and the bridge collapsed creating a major problem with access. Ian is continuing to move Northward, so please take care, all of my friends on the East Coast who might be affected by the storm. Play mouse and stay sheltered.

Here's a lovely bronze sculpture by Alexander Stricker entitled "Shelter". Just like this mouse is sheltering her young ones, make sure you stay safe as Ian moves northward. |
DH surprised me yesterday by telling me to check out our HSA accounts for the funds for my braces. That was totally out of the blue, and unexpected. I did a quick check on the balance in my account this morning and I have the funds, no problem, but I will need to discuss with an agent to get some transferred from the investment portion of the account to the active case portion. I'll see if DH can offer me advise on the payment options presented if he remains in a good mood.

I would love to hear the "Court Revelers" one last time for the season, and leave directly afterward. They sing at 11:15 am, so we could be out of the Fest by noon or so. |
We'll head out to Renaissance Festival on Sunday for the final Sunday of Fest. We're not planning to spent much time there, but we want to purchase our season tickets for next year, and those are only on special there on the final two weekends of Fest. Last weekend we had a conflict and couldn't attend, so this weekend is our only chance. It's a worthwhile savings,
I also have to get my new scale set up and operational today. I'm looking forward to that - I've been estimating my weight from our old scale, but it's not as accurate. I like using a digital scale, and will be happy to have one to use once again. I'll delete the old app from my phone and replace it with the new one. Easy, peasy (if all goes well. Bluetooth can sometimes be a bit of a PITA).
So, as usual, my "day off" will be a busy one. I hope you have a wonderful Friday and final day of September. Be safe, stay dry, spread love and acceptance, and I'll be back tomorrow. Slave Ukraini.
