Today is a crazy, busy day. It's my "day off", but ... yeah ... did I say busy? I start out at the swimming pool, of course because it's a Wednesday. It's also a trash pick-up day, so I've already loaded up the bin, ready to take it to the curbside as I leave the house.
When I get home from the gym, I'll drop off my things, grab my purse, and head over to my car dealership for an overdue checkup, oil change and tire rotation appointment. Hopefully they won't find anything expensive to deal with, but I'm a bit fearful that I might need a new set of tires, and that would be very expensive indeed. Still, it is what it is. Necessity must.
After I get home from the car dealership, I can actually start my day ... EXCEPT ... I have an 11:00 am appointment with Leaf Filter to get an estimate on what it would cost to get it installed and done. The backyard gutter is the most important, that's the one that rises two stories high, so cleaning it is very difficult and somewhat dangerous. But we would, eventually, like all of the gutters done. DH has looked at their color choices and thought one of them wouldn't be bad for us. I'm much more concerned about just getting it done.
Finally, after all of that, I can start my usual Wednesday chores. I already have my first load of laundry in the washer, but I'll have 1-2 additional loads to do (time depending), and I'll need to do the weekly main grocery shop. No outlying grocery outlets for me today. I'm sticking with my local and main store. Somewhere in all of this, I'll need to actually eat some breakfast and a spot of lunch, and, of course, make dinner. Oh, and I'll have my weekly conversation with Aearwen - an island of sanity in an insane day.

I need to be an island of sanity in a sea of chaos today. It's a crazy, busy morning, and somehow it all has to click into place without hesitations or stumbling blocks. I can hope for the best. |
So that's my "quiet day off". What's your day going to be like - LOL? Whatever lies ahead of you today, I hope it's a good one and I'll be back tomorrow for a "restful" day at work. Slava Ukraini.
