I didn't watch the war at all yesterday. I had the television shut off all day, and I was so focused on what I needed to get done, I didn't even have music or an audio book playing. I just pushed myself and focused on the tasks I needed to get done. And I actually succeeded in getting everything completed that I needed, including the new set of photographs of the 8mm Austrian crystals that I needed to run through. I didn't get a chance to work on my story for LJ Idol, but I'll try to spent some time refining that today. It's written, but it's still clunky.
I did my swim, remembering my headphones this time. and listening to the beginning of Drizzt's tale was delightful. It's entirely possible that this series will take me through into the Autumn, and maybe even next Winter. There are a lot of books in the series. It's lovely to get reacquainted with a beloved and familiar character, though. I haven't read this series of books for at least 20 years, so it's almost like coming into them as a new series.
I went to the grocery store and didn't forget anything for a change! I managed to get the crystals re-photographed (I'll be massaging and sizing the photos at the shop today). I made my next batch of chili, and got my next four portions of Ogre Juice blended up. I had a lovely conversation with Aearwen, and finally got the chicken roasted for dinner. It was an extremely busy and very active day, and I'm rather happy it's over. I certainly had no problem getting to sleep last night (although getting to sleep is rarely a problem for me at all).
Today is my final swim day for this week and of course I'm super looking forward to it. That also puts me in a bit of a time crunch, even though I awakened early (before my alarm went off) this morning. So I'm going to wrap this up and make sure I have everything ready for the pool and my workday ahead. I hope your day is wonderful, that people are kind and loving around you, and that something positive for Ukraine will happen today. One small positive step at a time for those poor people. I'll be back tomorrow.
