My Friday Will Be Baking, Cooking and Listening to Music, So I'm Sharing With You

If I interpret the email I got yesterday correctly, my Etsy website has cleared the hurdles and I can now accept sales. Yippee! What a mess it was, but I jumped through the hoops. I'm not seeing any red flags in my shop owner administrative pages, and I'm breathing a tentative sigh of relief. I'll try to spend some serious time on the laptop today, working on getting the Swarovski crystal beads up and running. But I also want to do some baking - a batch of no-grain cookies and maybe a loaf of gluten-free bread. I've got eggs I need to use up, so I'll pull out the food processor and stand mixer.

I've wanted a KitchenAid Stand Mixer for a long time,
but realistically, I use a mixer less than ten times in
an average year, and my Mom's old Hamilton Beach
still works for when we need it. Plus, hers disassembles
so that we can easily store it in our cabinets. I doubt
I'll ever have one of these beauties in my kitchen, but
a girl can dream - LOL.

I'm using appliances that I've thought about replacing many times over the years. Both of these are from my Mother - she bought an updated mixer when she gave me her old one (which is almost as old as I am, but still works fine), and she bought an updated food processor and gave me her old one. I'm missing all of the blades except one, but fortunately it's one that gets used a lot.

This could be the twin of what my Mom gave to
me. She updated her food processor and gave me her
old Hamilton Beach model. It still works, and mostly
sits in the cupboard above my stove. I rarely use it,
so the inconvenience isn't horrible, but it isn't the
first appliance I reach for, either.

One reason I was looking at possible getting the Vitamix blender was the additional attachments that could work in the system, including a food processor. But on closer examination, it was a rather restricted food processor, and realistically, the blender was what I needed, anything else was gravy. So I ignored the extras and focused on the main function, thus deciding on the Wolf instead. If I decide I need an updated food processor, I'll get one. So far, however, I use mine maybe 1-2 times a year, so I'll probably stick with what I have.

An online friend turned me on to Dimash
Kudaibergen last week. Are you familiar with
this incredible Kazak vocalist? Check out
YouTube and you'll find a LOT of videos.
It doesn't hurt that he's also incredibly
attractive - LOL. But it's his six-octave
voice with perfect pitch that absolutely
floors me. I lost myself in his music for more
than half an hour, and want more. I'm pretty
sure you'll be pulled in too.

On a final note for today, an online friend introduced me to an amazing talent earlier this week. Dimash Kudaibergen is from Kazakhstan and has an amazing voice - a six-octave vocal range with perfect pitch. If you haven't heard of him before now, you're in for a treat. If you have heard of him, enjoy listening to him again for a little bit. I'm heading out for a very busy day and am calling this done for today. Have an excellent Friday and I'll be back tomorrow.
