Summer is Progressing - Le Tour de France Begins on Saturday

So we're progressing slowly. DH is upset because I don't have final drawings from Rodney, Rodney is overworked at the tattoo studio and short on time, (although he's appreciating the input and additional visuals I've been sending him), and I'm right in the middle, trying to keep everything together. NOT! All I want is a tattoo. It should be simple, right? LOL. I guess, like most things in my life, simplicity will only happen after the fact, not before.

One of my favorite times of the year is swiftly
approaching - Le Tour de France has arrived once
again. I'll get some profile maps and stage
descriptions going. My summer has now officially
started.

Le Tour de France begins on Saturday. In the USA it will be broadcast on NBCSN and also live-streamed on Peacock. I have to take a hunt for the stage profiles so that I can keep putting it up for each day, as I've done for many years. Maybe I'll get some time today or tomorrow to do some web hunting and download some graphics. I'm so pleased that Le Tour is ready to go again. It's always a kick-off point of summer for me.

This is the blender I purchased in early March. I use it
almost every day and it has to deal with some pretty
hard stuff - celery, peppers, various root crops or
fruits sometimes. No matter what, it's coming through
really well. But that smaller blade which I use on
the cups to liquefy things a bit more is starting to
leak. I ordered a replacement which will hopefully
work a bit better.

You might remember I had purchased a new blender in early March. My old blender simply wasn't up to the task of grinding together the various produce needed for my "Ogre Juice" drinks that we use to make sure we're up on our nutritional requirements in WildFit. I adore the blender - it's a workhorse - but there was one component that was leaking every now and again, so I contacted customer service. Although they couldn't replace it at no charge, they were able to sell me a new one at a reasonable cost and get it shipped out to me. So, I have a new emulsifier being sent to me which should be here in a few days. Hopefully the new one will leak less than the old one.

I'm sure I'll remember on your birthday too, but there's
nothing much better than being flooded with Happy
Birthday wishes - LOL.

Of course, my day was capped by my weekly conversation with Aearwen. I sat on the patio, watched a bunny race across my yard, and a squirrel run down my fence, then stop and scold me for being lazy. It was a beautiful day with a soft breeze pulling the heat level down a bit, and an hour spent chatting with a good friend made it even better. We'll miss next week's talk because I'll be getting my tattoo, but we'll catch up in July. Aearwen's birthday is coming up on Saturday, so wish her a Happy Birthday. Positive thoughts and memories are always appreciated, I'm sure.

I've had people wonder about that large open
disk above the scarab on my tattoo. I'm asking
Rodney to put an Eye of Horus into that
space. I had originally intended that to be a
second session addition, but I'm pushing it
ahead because the empty disk was really
bothering people in my Facebook commentary.

So, I'm wrapping this up and heading out to work. I have a lot to do today so I'd better get going on it. I have a 7:00 am appointment to get my car serviced on Friday, so tomorrow's post will be very short. Just warning you - LOL ... So stay safe, be kind, and I'll be back for a truncated post tomorrow.
