Today Is A Busy One - Whatever Happened to Relaxing Days Off?

Today is starting out quite busy, with a 7:00 am appointment at my car repair place to get my rear license plate replaced. The state has a policy of sending new license plates out every seven years, and DH managed to get the front plates on without trouble. But the back plate screws are immovable, and after several days of trying, I put my foot down and told him to stop. I didn't want the screws totally stripped. So I dropped into my neighborhood repair place on Wednesday and set up an appointment for first thing today. They said that Toyota and Mazda have the worst screw problems. Oh joy, I own a Mazda and DH owns a Toyota. Yippee! LOL

I have a custom license plate frame that I had made
for me at the State Fair in 2019. The text portions
are white text into Broncos Orange, and the top
says BRONCOS, the bottom says FANGIRL. I
can hardly wait to finally get it mounted along
with my new, clean plates.

After trying several times to log into my local YMCA (where I've been a member for more than a decade), I finally succeeded. I wanted to find an online Yoga class. I'm a bit shy about attending any in-person classes at the Y or any Yoga studio until I get a better feel for what is actually required in a Yoga class. The Y has a nice virtual class on-line for beginners, so I think I'll stream that this afternoon and see how it goes. I can fall over and trip over my own feet quite effectively in the privacy of my own home.

There are SO many Yoga poses and
stretches. I don't want to seem like
a total noob if I'm ever in a physical
class, so I'll start out with some on-line
stuff to begin to get the hand for the
various positions. I'm sure I'd get more
out of an in-person class, but I'm not
quite willing to do that yet.

I also have to get some groceries bought, get some supplies for the homeless to donate at the Fairgrounds when we go there on Sunday, and make sure I get to the drugstore for an item I'm running low on. So despite an "open" day, it seems I still have plenty of things to do. No rest for the wicked.

Yesterday was the first day of "Kickoff to Summer
at the Fair" and it was cold and rainy - 20 degrees
below normal for this time of the year. That put the
temperatures in March range instead of May. It should
be getting better and better each day, though, and so
far Sunday is looking like it's going to be nice, with
possible occasional quick showers. We'll pack
prepared when we go. They're collecting donations
at the gate for the homeless shelters, and I want
to have some items to add to their donations.

Since I have to get things going a bit sooner than usual, I'm going to also make this short and sweet. I hope all of you have a truly fabulous day and please, be kind and stay safe. I'll be back tomorrow.
