I Did Accomplish Some Stuff on Wednesday ... Really! LOL

Yesterday was the usual very busy Wednesday, but I was finally able to settle down at the knitting machine by 1:00 pm or so. I had to re-do the collar of my sweater on the back panel, and then continue joining sections together. By the time I was finished chatting with Aearwen, I had managed to fix the collar as well as attach the second shoulder and one of the sleeves. I'll attach the second sleeve on Friday and start stitching the entire thing up. I can hardly wait to wash, block and wear the darned thing.

I guess I could make a fashion statement with a one-sleeved
sweater, but I really intend my sweater to have two,
firmly attached long sleeves. I ran out of time to attach
the second sleeve yesterday, but I'm quite comfortable with
the process by now, so it should be fairly quick on
Friday. Then I can sew up the sides and I'll be done.

We did a quick run to the accountant after DH got home from work. I really don't know why I trundle along on the business taxes meeting - I'm not really involved in the finances or the numbers. But, I'm a good sport, so I went along to see Paul and give him the numbers. As I had thought, the grants are actually a tax-free gift from the various governments, so we won't be taxed on them. The PPP loan is handled differently, but again, will be non-taxable (at least by the Federal government - I guess the state is still making up its' mind on that). So DH's fear of having to pay tax because we got cash to help the business survive was unfounded. Yippee!

I think the cast of "Frozen" might feel comfortable in
our temperatures, but I really don't. I'm bundled up in
layers and layers of clothes. I can hardly wait for my
sweater to be completed so that I can start wearing it
(and working on my next one). This is sweater weather,
and I'm filling out my wardrobe - LOL.

We're still frozen, in fact, I wouldn't be surprised to see an animated snowman wandering through our back yards. I suspect Olaf would be quite at home in our sub-zero temperatures. Me? I bundle up in everything I can - I'm a total weather wimp who actually loves living up here in the Frozen Northlands. Yeah - I know it doesn't make sense.

I adore using Moleskin notebooks for my personal journals
and in workshops. I use the smallest size - it's easy to
carry along without taking up a lot of space. I'm almost out
of pages in my current notebook, so it was time to get a
new one. I ended up with two because ... well, no good
reason. Just because - LOL.

I did treat myself to a small thing yesterday - some more of my favorite pens Micron .005 tipped ink pens,  and two new small Moleskin notebooks. I've used this style of notebook in workshops and for personal notes for years, and the one I have been using is almost full. I couldn't make up my mind, and the art store was requiring people to spend no more than 15 minutes inside, so I just grabbed two different notebooks and every color of pen they make in the .005 size tip, gave their machine my credit card, and went back home. I'm happy - I love the pens and the books. They'll be used.

On that note, I'm out of here. I have a lot to do today, including a quick run over to the bank to get the sales tax money into the account before I pay it to the state. Here's hoping you have a magnificent day, filled with joy, laughter and good things. Lets be positive right now ... we all need it. Be kind, stay safe and please wear your mask. I'll be back tomorrow.
