Staying at Home - Day 6

Somehow, in between the constant news updates and numbers, I completely missed the fact that I passed the 3400 blog posts written achievement. I'm impressed, although 3500 posts will be even better. But, it's a nice number even though often I'm not saying very much.

I'm celebrating (quietly and at home) the achievement of posting my
blog for 3400 posts. Yippee!

DH and I are scrambling to find every funding source we can to be able to keep the store open (when we're allowed to re-open) and keep Chickie employed. The City grant turned out to be a bust. Apparently the city is only interested in helping tattoo parlours, restaurants and bars, and similar places - nothing for small retail stores. The state grant may work out to be the best, but we don't have the specifics on that one yet. The Federal SBA grants are pretty awesome, but we may have to be in business for a full year to receive the funds, and we were planning on retiring this Fall. Still, DH drove to the shop this morning to get the financial and corporate information we might need to provide to apply for the SBA grants.

I'm hoping we'll qualify for some of this. We need it.

It's a bit of a nightmare, but we're optimistic - we really have to be. Pessimism is highly overrated - LOL. I expect I'll be fairly busy filling out a lot of forms when he gets back, so I'll cut this off here. Please Stay Home, Stay Healthy, Be Well. I'll be back tomorrow.
