Today is Eclipsed by Tomorrow and the Future

My goal for the weekend - clean, of course. DH's goal for the weekend - build and put more things away. I'm not sure if our goals are compatible, so some arguments and turning away from each other may ensue. Of course, we also have Renaissance Festival getting in the way, and that's where we'll be tomorrow morning. I'll get some cleaning done, maybe, but I'll really be back on the cleaning track on Wednesday.

In 2017, the "Terrible Foursome" looked like this at the
Renaissance Festival. From l-r, Chickie, DH,
me (with hair! it's odd to see myself with hair - LOL)
and Sharon. We'll all be there together again over the
Labor Day weekend.

DH did get one window shade at the building supply store yesterday, and after fiddling with the mountings and drilling some additional holes in the mounting brackets, he was able to achieve an inside mount instead of a wall-mount. Even though it's 38" instead of the 40" we really need for the span, it still looks pretty good. I can live with it, and it lets more light into the breezeway than those wooden shutters.

From last year's visit, here's me and Sharon at the Minnesota
State Fair's Blue Cross/Blue Shield booth. I got a lovely
insulated zip-top carryall bag from the booth (for free!) and
I've been using it ever since for my daily lunches.

I'm a bit rushed today, so I'm signing off early. I want to make sure I have a bit of time to drop by Live Journal and wish a Happy Birthday to Seaivy, whose birthday is tomorrow. I try not to forget friends birthdays, although I'm not always timely with my wishes. On that note, everyone have a tremendous weekend and I'll be back on Monday.
