Why I Like This Season of Project Runway - Christian Siriano

Tonight is Project Runway night, and I happened to find this really interesting article about the new season/format/personnel of the show to share with all of you. Maybe this is why I'm so avid about watching this year, or maybe it's just one part. What is a fact is that the show has been revitalized in many different ways - from the top on screen to the bottom behind the scenes. Project Runway has become exciting to watch once again and I'm really happy about that. So, here's a link to the article. I hope you take a bit of time to read it because it's worthwhile for any PR fan.

Earlier this month, the Met Gala was held with the
theme of "Camp". Christian Siriano dressed several
of the stars attending the gala. Here is his outfit
for Janelle Monae. The eye was motorized and
actually opened and closed.

Yesterday was a busy day, it was also cold and rainy and rather icky. We're running about 10-15 degrees F below our normal right now, and we're all complaining about it. It's NOT fun. I didn't get to Half Price Books, but managed to get everything else on my agenda taken care of. The boxes of books aren't going anywhere ... they might be i the way, but we'll just have to live with it for a while longer.

Elaine Welteroth, one of the new judges on Season 17 of
Project Runway attended the Met Gala in this over-the-top
Siriano design. She rocks it.

On a bright note, I'm sitting here writing this wearing my swim suit for the first time in two months. I'm finally getting back into the pool today and I'm really chuffed about it. I'm also a little hesitant because I know my skill set will be down, and because my bicep tendinitis may be aggravated by the rotation and use of my arm in the pool. I'm hoping that won't be the case, I hate to have to grab the pain pills and an ice pack after a workout.

Laverne Cox from "Orange is the New Black" also
wore a black design by Siriano. Total camp, total
glam, and totally unique. I'm a total Siriano fan.

But, between Project Runway and a return to the pool, I'm super happy. Bring it on, Thursday! Show me your best side today! Here are two additional outfits for the Met Gala that were designed by Christian Siriano. Enjoy.

Siriano pushed boundaries and gender expectations
with this split outfit for Michael Urie. Christian
tweeted "You can bring your own date to the Gala,"
when discussing this design.

Ryan Murphy played homage to the King of Camp -
Liberace - with this sparkling outfit. The cape alone
took two months to make. Siriano made an impact
with this design on the Met Gala runway.

As always, have a super terrific and wonderful day. St Louis is going against Boston for Lord Stanley's Cup, and I'm quite pleased about that since they were my choice (after the Wild and the Avalanche failed in the playoffs). I'll be cheering St Louis on to victory! Have a great day and I'll be back tomorrow.
