A Look Ahead

DH and I will be going to see "Avengers: Endgame" on Sunday - it's my birthday movie. I'm looking forward to sitting in a dark theatre for several hours with a huge bucket of popcorn (Popcorn - it's for breakfast!) and losing myself in a totally different reality. I know a lot of my friends have already seen the movie, and many of them say there's so much to absorb that they'll have to see it again to weed everything out. Since we're still old-fashioned enough to enjoy having actual DVD's of movies we enjoy, we'll probably end up purchasing one when it becomes available later this year. We'll weed things out then.

I'm looking forward to "Endgame", even though it's long and
has a very large cast. It's going to be fun to be back in the
Marvel universe once again.

Yesterday's dental visit went beautifully - no problems detected - easy in and easy out. My dentist is reverting back to his 1960's look while I'm rocking the bald. We really made quite the pair. I've known my dentist for more than 30 years - we've grown old together in 6-month increments. We're both moving into being able to do what we really enjoy - a reward for a life lived helping others in our own businesses. It's a good feeling, and I love the fact that he's still playing music and recording with his band on a regular basis. It brings him joy even as my art and writing brings me joy.

"The Surf Dawgs" play rock and surf instrumental music - think
Beach Boys genre. My dentist is the dude on the left - LOL. Dr B
was inducted as a Lifetime Achievement Member of the Midwest
Rock Hall of Fame a few years ago, and three of the four members
of the band are now inductees.

DH was trying to explain how he sees the breezeway functioning as my 3-season workshop - how the tables will be arranged, where the shelving will go, etc. He lost me early on, so I'm insisting that he actually show me on Sunday if it's warm enough. The room has been 3/4 cleared by now, and we can walk around in it, so I'll be able to actually approach all of the walls and see what he envisions. He's very good with spatial design, so I'm pretty sure that my various benches and shelving will fit fine. I'll have some inconveniences since some tools and my multi-drawer supplies bench will be inside the house in the sub-basement, but that's just inconvenient, not a deal-breaker.

I have a multi-drawer tool cabinet similar to this one
for my metal-smith materials and tools. I don't want
to keep it on the breezeway, I'd rather have it
inside the house, so I'll just have to plan my work
well so that I'm not wasting a lot of time running
up and down the stairs to get something I forgot.

I've set up my final touch-up appointment for my eyeliner tattoos for the 15th. Heidi says I can get into the pool, no problem, after one week as long as I wear goggles, which I always do. So, I'll have a late-afternoon appointment, get this finished, and it will heal quickly. Then I can get back to the water, just in time for the outdoor pool. If she couldn't have scheduled this, I would have pushed her off until late September. I refuse to miss swimming in our 50-meter pool when I can, it's such a treat.

I generally start my day by 1-1/2 or more miles on the Matrix
elliptical machine, before switching over to the recumbent
bicycle for another 5-8 miles. Although I could plug in to my
Spotify account directly on the machines, I prefer to use
my phone for my music and have the screen on virtual
reality hikes through pretty scenery.

So, I'm off to get pictures and hit the door running. I may not be best friends with the elliptical and the bicycle, but they still insist that I be on them within the hour. Have a great Tuesday and I'll be back tomorrow.
