Fungi to Share and Earth Day

DH and I spent a relaxing Easter Sunday, just playing LOTRO, watching baseball and hockey on the TV, and in general, having a laid-back day. The weather was a bit better than forecast, no rain, so we had drinks on the patio for the first time this season. Such a joy. I was looking around a bit and noticed some very awesome fungi on the ends of some of the logs we have surrounding our lower patio level. Since I know several of you adore fungi, I quickly took photos to share.

We have a large wall of end-on logs waiting for the woodshed
to be built. On the bottom section I saw fungi and it was
so beautiful, I had to take a quick photo or two and share
with all of you.

I'm finally able to get back to the gym today. I've missed it. The scabs are almost gone from my eyeliner, but I'm not super pleased with this one. It's not a bad job - the line is perfect. But it's a lot paler than I thought it would be. I'll have to wait another day or two, snap a photo (that I promise I'll share) and see what she thinks. I know she had problems getting the eyeliner to work because I have more blood vessels in my eyelids than most people do. In fact, she almost gave up on me because the blood was pushing the dye out. I'm not sure if this is fixable, but I'll ask her.

This smaller grouping was just to the east of the larger
group in the first photo. I'm quite happy with this. It's
quite lovely and interesting to look at.

I ordered a couple of wig bands and a set of cookwear from Amazon late last week. The wig bands will help keep my wigs stable. DH likes to see me in looks other than bald every now and again, and I love the wigs he bought for me, so no problem. But, without hair to ground them into, they can be too mobile. A wig band will help them stay attached and not move from position easily.

Today is Earth Day, 2019. In prior years I've spoken about my
history with Earth Day, but this year I'm just reminding all
of you about it. Let's celebrate this amazing planet we all share!

On that note, I'm calling today's blog finished. I'm sending out thanks to several of you who were kind enough to send me Easter e-cards. They were truly wonderful and such a joy to view and listen to. I'm always so happy with the quality of the animation and the thought that goes behind the making of each card. Thank you so much! Have a wonderful Monday and I'll be back tomorrow!
