The late afternoon before the storm hit, the snow mountain has diminished somewhat because of some warmer days and the afternoon rain. |
So as I went to sleep, here's what my snow mountain looked like before the snow started falling and obscured the view.

The snow mountain is much higher and DH is standing on top of it, clearing snow from the roof. It turned into a three-hour job this time. Hard labor. |
The next morning I awakened to the steady sounds of DH clearing the roof. It's a beast of a job and he has to keep up with it. Here's a photo of him standing on our snow mountain as he's clearing the roof. We certainly don't need ladders now.

The view from my side door was beautiful. This is my upper back yard with a crabapple tree to the left and some maples and oaks along the side fencing. Every branch has a dusting of snow. |
I drove to the shop mid-day on Sunday to shovel out there. We were getting a lot of melt, and I didn't want to deal with a frozen underside when shoveling today, so going over seemed wise. I was really glad when I got there. It was wet and heavy, but today it would have been miserable work. Instead, I'm ahead of the game. Take a look at the photo above of my back yard. The snow has made lacework from the tree branches. It's exceptionally beautiful, and so transient.

Everything looks calm once again. The snow mountain is still there, and still higher, but it's March. We're heading towards the end of winter and beginning of spring. |
Last night I took a final photo of our snow mountain after the storm. We dodged a bullet on this one and I'm extremely grateful. It's Day 11 for B2MeM Bingo and I am ready to dive into today's story. I've been having a lot of fun so far both writing and reading, so it's a total win/win for me. Have a great Monday, I'll be back tomorrow.
