Research Has Made Me Late!

Whoops! I got hung up on a quick bit of research for today's B2MeM story and I'm running a bit behind time now. This post will be short and sweet.

Today's prompts are leading me to Denethor. I had to do a bit
of research on him and the Kings of Gondor. I don't think I
was aware that he was 89 years old at the time of his
suicide. I don't think that came across in the movie or in other
depictions such as this lovely one.

It's Saturday, which is a wonderful thing in and of itself. Although my weekend won't officially start until 5:00 pm tonight, it's still something to look forward to. I love my Sundays - time to sleep in for a single day and a day when I'm not expected to be at the shop for any reason. Even on my mid-week day off, I'm still usually there early in the morning checking everything out and making sure all of the electronics are turned on and ready for the staff. I have to say I won't miss having to be there six days a week after I retire. I give it about two weeks before I'm totally NOT missing that part of my life.

I'm actually really enjoying my bald look. It's
totally different, but there's a lot to like.
After I get my eyebrows and my eyeliner
tattoos finished, I'm going to be FABULOUS! LOL.

I'm finding the reactions people have to my bald head very interesting. I'm getting everything from gentle inquiries about my health, to straight-out "Are you on chemotherapy?", and a fair share of curious looks without the follow-up queries. I probably would be asking the same thing if it was someone I was in semi-regular contact with, so I totally understand. I'm enjoying my bald look, though, and think I carry it off.

So they'll end up with something similar to this (without
the smiling gentleman). Two boilers against one
wall, and two separate water heaters, one for each of
the two units of the duplex. The joys of home ownership *sigh*.

Chickie's house is a construction zone right now. Issues with the boilers and pipes have resulted in a complete re-do of the basement piping and a complete replacement of both boilers (it is a duplex, and each half of the house has a separate boiler). This was a very unexpected and unwelcome expense, and her father came through for them and will pay for the installation. That's beyond sweet.

So, I'm off to the pool. My research is complete, now I just have to write the story - probably faster and a bit easier than the research and the hours spent trying to determine my direction within today's prompts. I SO love a challenge - LOL. Have a great weekend and I'll be back on Monday morning.
