A Day of Driving Was Productive

Skipping the gym yesterday resulted in weight gained, but positive timeframes for everything else. I fought the roads - icy in the early morning with average freeway speeds down by 1/3 - and managed to get to the Social Security office an hour early. After sitting in the warm comfort of my car, then standing in line for a half-hour, the doors were finally unlocked at 9:00 am. I was 3rd in line and had  more than 30 people behind me.

I ended up third in a long line of people. I'm really glad I got
there early because I was in and out within 15 minutes of
the time the doors were unlocked.

The automated check-in system spit my assigned number out to me and we were called to interview stations quickly. After providing the requested documents, the agent left to photocopy my naturalization certificate, then returned, remarked on how happy and cute I had looked as a three-year-old That was it - all done.

Microblade eyebrows can be really beautiful and natural looking. I
find that I really miss my eyebrows.

Now I was on a quest for eyebrows. One of the bad things about alopecia is a complete lack of all hair, and I'm finding that I really miss eyebrows as a facial focal. Fortunately a lot of the ice had melted by this time and the roads were pretty good. My appointment was with Alex and set for 11:00 am. I was early, so I waited in a nearby coffee shop for almost an hour.

Alex is the shop manager for Aloha Art Collective
Tattoo and seems very nice and competent, but
a bit young. The other woman I'm meeting with
next week has more than 20 years experience
with microblade and she may win my business
because of that.

Alex was nice and seemed to be comfortable with the procedure I'm looking at - a microblade eyebrow. I have one more woman I want to speak to, who is on my Wednesday schedule for next week. Heidi has twenty years of microblade experience and hundreds of photos on her website. I'm looking forward to talking with her too, then making up my mind.

DH and I had a good talk last night after dinner. He apologized, I accepted the apology. I'm probably going to turn down the tickets, though. No need to rock the boat. I then tried to explain to him why I want eyebrows. He doesn't get it. Oh well, can't have everything - LOL. I still want eyebrows.

There's really no need to rock the boat. I'll
probably end up turning down the tickets, but
I'll think about it for a few more days.

On that note, I'm calling this over and done. Back to Middle Earth Month and BINGO begins tomorrow and I'm excited. Have a wonderful Thursday and final day of February. Our final snow total for the month ... 39 inches!! We're expecting our next snowfall for March 1st, so I'm calling February done!
