Yippee! Skippy! Good Things for the Day

Today is Friday! As I start working through this blog of good things, I have to start with one of the best. Today is Friday. Now, I fully admit that I work on Saturdays and that Saturday is actually my personal Friday, but for most of my readers, Friday is the last day of the work week and two days of weekend loom ahead. What could be better?

This was an important game for Denver to win and puts Denver on top
of the AFC West with a 6-1-0 record. San Diego drops to second in the
Division followed by Kansas City and Oakland. I'm SO PROUD of my team!

Of course there's always the fact that my wonderful Denver Broncos won their very important game last night in decisive style. It was a beautiful thing to watch. I had my phone on the game and my TV on the finale of Project Runway. Both were excellent!

I loved this dress. The swing of the layers of fringe
just made it totally lush and the staging was perfect.

Speaking of Project Runway, I'm delighted with the winner. It was a bit of a left field choice, not someone I would have chosen even a month ago, but darned if I didn't love the collection he put together for the final Runway show during NY Fashion Week. Bravo and well done!

I haven't quite figured out why most tasks fall to me, but DH probably
wouldn't have been able to answer the security questions anyway.

I finally got around to activating replacement credit cards sent by one of my CC companies last week. DH was getting rather testy about the fact that I hadn't activated them yet. He can breathe easy now - they are ready for him to use and he can go shopping today. Of course he could have done it himself, but no - it was one more thing for me to do.

There are always a variety of pre-done calendars available, but I know my
schedule and the word counts I need to achieve. I have earlier deadlines
than the end of the month because my Holiday sale schedule begins on Thanksgiving.
So I always have to make my own. This was rather nice, though, if it would
have worked within my schedule parameters.

I have my word count for NaNo calender complete and printed out. Now if I can just get my personal act together and re-establish my time frames in my head. I might jump into the modern-day part of the novel instead of continuing the historical aspect. It's supposed to be a story that balances between old and new, but last year's effort only ended up with the older portion, not addressing the second arm of the body of work at all. Maybe this year it's time to bring the new portion through the discovery part and into the picture more fully. Actually, I think I'd enjoy that quite a bit.

My modern character is a cellist, simply because I know
the ins and outs of playing that instrument (the old write about
what you know adage working here). This is a lovely
picture of a girl with a cello. The artist is
zgul-osr1113 on Deviant Art.

So I'm as prepped as I can be. I have slightly over a week before jumping back into the madness. If any of you will be doing NaNoWriMo this year, I'd love to add you to my friends list. Happy Friday to all!
