It's the weekend and even though I work today, I'm still looking forward to 5:00 pm today when I will push the last customers out of the store, lock the door, and begin my own weekend. Even foreshortened, it is a wonderful thing. I don't have any specific plans. The autumn leaves haven't fallen enough for raking yet, the Broncos football game won't be broadcast in my area (although DH will be glued to the TV watching his Vikings) and it's a nice, lazy Sunday that I have planned. But I do have some deadlines so have to be aware of them. Maybe I'll even get closer to completing some of my tasks.
|
This is an older Denver Broncos logo. I have this on a heavy
drinking glass that sits on my desk and holds my jewelry tools and pliers. My
friend (and fellow Broncos lover) Sharon gave the glass to me as a
holiday gift several years ago. I love it! . |
I have a beadwork project for one of the seed bead manufacturers that's due in early November. I haven't worked on it since late June and even though I only have another 8-12 hours left in the project, I still need to carve out that time.
|
The beads for this year's challenge are much brighter than last year's
combination. Each bead pictured must be used in the project. Some of
these shapes are challenging, but I'll figure something out. It's just a matter of
putting in some time. |
I have my Solstice cards project that's progressing well, but with November being NaNoWriMo month, my time gets eaten up by word count and characters, so to avoid a crunch, I have to work on the cards as much as I can.
|
I love using embossing powders on my Solstice cards, but I've branched out
this year to use glitter glue and other supplies too. |
I have a store to run, sales to make, product to order, receive, process, tag and restock, and general work.
|
There's nothing like keeping busy... |
Frankly, it doesn't get any easier. But a busy person rarely has time for depressive introspection and I qualify as busy.
I'm looking forward to my foreshortened weekend and wish all of you a wonderful two days.
