Squinty Eyes and Ticking Clocks

Time is running out. I have deadlines staring me in the face and I'm focused on having things completed within time frames that are looming over me. It's cutting into the little amount of sleep I get, it's cutting into my "off" time, and that clock just won't stop ticking. Aaaaaaargh!

Time is not my friend right now. I worked on labeling after
dinner last night until my eyes were so squinty I couldn't see
the numbers any more.

My shop is participating in the Minnesota Bead Shops Hop that will be going on from October 1-15, dates that are approaching quickly. We have a bunch of new inventory that I need to have out on display, but I have to rearrange almost the entire store to accomplish this. I'm working every spare minute trying to figure out where to move things and relabeling 1000's of  hooks and display materials, working on the promotional items, and making sure that I have all of the documents in place and printed out. It's a nightmare, but it offers new customers through my door and the chance to cross-promote my store along with other stores. It's worth the effort, but is leading to very late nights and a lot of extra work.

There is light at the end of the tunnel, but I have to get there first.

Thus, my reasons for not answering comments as quickly as I usually do. I've tried reading your posts on my smart phone, and it works, but not extremely well. Reading your posts on my smartphone is possible, but again, a bit challenging, especially if it is a book recommendation that I want to check out and possibly buy on Barnes & Noble, or something that I want to examine with more detail. On my main computer I can open window after window and not have a problem. That's not possible on my smartphone.

I tried to find out the artist for this wonderful print, but had no success. But, it's
so kewl, I just had to share.

It's pretty amazing how technology keeps improving, though. I'm complaining about not being able to use my phone at the same level as my computer, but I am carrying massive computing power in my hand - power that would have taken a room not more than 30 years ago. Gotta love technology.

Time progresses and I fall behind. It's becoming my normal
state of being.

So, as I head out for another day of labels, rearranging, and promotion, reading books on my phone with my Nook app and playing Candy Crush Saga, I'll be happy (although sleepy and stressed). I have a computer in my pocket. I might be a wreck, but my store will look fabulous - LOL.

Happy Weekend to all of you!
