My To Do List is growing exponentially. Too few hours, too many tasks. Ack! |
I'm not sure I mentioned that I had written Kincaid's, the restaurant where DH and I had that amazing and lovely anniversary dinner a week or so ago. I wrote to them because they asked for feedback on the bottom of their receipt and I was confused about a charge that was appearing on the bill. In passing, I also mentioned that DH was happy with most of his prime rib, but that a portion of it had been chewy. They responded immediately, explaining how the charge was handled and also requested my address to send me a gift card in apology for the prime rib not meeting DH's expectations. I received a $50 gift card to the restaurant as apology yesterday. It was very generous of them and I look forward to using it for a special occasion sometime over the next year.
It was so generous of them to give us a $50 gift card. I'm already looking forward to returning there for another meal. |
Do you read your receipts? Many of the restaurants and other stores have offers for future discounts or newsletters at the bottom of the receipts and often those can lead to big savings. I have learned to always check my receipts. I currently have several 10% off at Perkins stashed, as well as a 20% off at Baker's Square to be used. Maybe I'll use that one for breakfast later today.
I'll be running all over town again today, and I also need to continue rearranging the store to my satisfaction before next week's beginning of the Bead Shops Hop. I got a lot done yesterday (which, unfortunately, means that it was a slower sales day than I really wanted). I was rearranging my display boards and by the end of the day, felt I had put a permanent impression in my finger where I position my pegboard hooks for placement. Ouch!
This is the main aisle of my store as you walk in from the street. Yesterday's task was rearranging all of the smaller pegboard spinner racks in the distance. That meant hundreds of hooks moved. Ouch! |
I have a mental list of what I want accomplished before the Shops Hop begins. I'm not sure I'll get to all of it, but I'm sure going to try. If nothing else, it's been a great push for cleaning and getting more product out on display. We have a huge selection of goods, but sometimes fall behind on actually getting them processed and onto the sales shelves.
Well, today starts out with trash and recycling collection, so I'd better keep this short and sweet, find some good photos to accompany it, and upload. Have a great Wednesday and smile today. A smile is one infection you want to pass along.
