Forging Through the Week

Since this is Chickie's vacation week, I have to work six days and I don't get my studio day.  I will be making up for that next week when I will get two (2)! studio days in a row, but I still have to make it through this week.  So today, instead of my normal laundry, cleaning, and sketching, I'll be packing beads, counting jump rings, and helping customers.  It could be worse, I really do enjoy working with our customers.  Counting jump rings is a bit boring, though, and we have 100,000 of new colored aluminum ones to count and pack.

Ouch!  I hurt almost as much as this
picture indicates.  Hope these
orthotics help!

I have a huge amount of pain in my left heel.  It has been getting worse and worse over the summer, until I was practically crippled.  While I was at the State Fair, I was measured for a new pair of orthotics.  These fit inside my shoes and help to correct the placement of my feet to eliminate the pain.  I just received my pair on Monday and started breaking them in yesterday.  This morning, getting up from bed, I was practically able to walk, my pain level was decreased.  Still there, but decreased.  This is a definite improvement.  I'll continue to work with their break-in schedule and we'll see where I am after a week, but I have hopes that I might be able to finally walk without pain again in a week.
