I keep looking at the beads for the BFAC 2011 kit. I can't really miss them - the container that I have them in while working sits directly in front of my keyboard, and I spend most of my non-working time at my computer. So they are staring me in the face. But so are my backing plates because I need to mount the enamel disks and cut and mount the pin-back/stiffening plates. I'd rather concentrate on the metal right now. The beading kit is frustrating me.
New auctions are up for the current Beading For A Cure. I'll be posting photographs of the items that are up for the current auction all week. Here are the items that were made by my friend, Marilee J Layman. She decided to go with a different twist and make something that wasn't a jewelry item. Thus - her beaded desk set. This is simply scrumptious and I wish I had a use for it. I would certainly be bidding if I did. But if you do...just follow my link to the auctions and bid on hers or any of our other auctions for the week. You'll be helping a great cause.
And Congratulations to the University of Minnesota Gophers men's basketball team for making it into the "Big Dance" of the NCAA March Madness basketball tournament. Making it into the initial 64 teams is an accomplishment and even though they won't get very far in the tourney, it is excellent that they got this far.
