Back to the Grind

It's Monday. No doubt about it...it's Monday. My DH and I actually had a very enjoyable Sunday though. It was a bit surprising - we don't have a good history of having good holidays and Sunday was Valentine's Day. But we were watching the Olympics while playing Lord of the Rings Online (because that's what we do on Sundays during the winter) and we had a good dinner waiting for us in the refridgerator. So we started the day early, enjoyed the sunshine and the fact that the weekend's snow was going to be limited to late afternoon and evening, and went shopping. We picked up some stuffed chicken breasts for dinner and a wonderfully rich and decadent dessert, went home and turned on the computers and the TV, and settled in for a relaxing day. And it was.
Pairs figure skating started last night. I love skating. My favorite is ice dancing since that was what I was training in when I broke my foot and had to pull away from skating. I love the flow of ice dancing. But I can critique all skating, and love to just listen to my DH argue about the scores, etc. A new system of scoring is used now and I'm unfamiliar with it, so I'll probably do a quick bit of research on it tonight because there is LOTS of skating still to come. But I'm happy - I have skating, luge, snowboarding, and lots of other winter sports still to come. I love the Winter Olympics!
