Winding Down

The week is grinding to a close. I tend to look back on Fridays to consider what I have achieved and what I still need to try and get done before the close of business on Saturday. This week was rather typical - I accomplished a great deal on my day and a half off, but I want to work at my silver bench today and I also have a mask repair that I have to get going on quickly. If I can put my hands on the feathers, I can get the mask fixed within an hour, most likely much less.
I have workmen at the old house today replacing a ceiling that was severely damaged by water. They are replacing one ceiling and repairing another. I just got a check from some stock that I sold so that I can pay for this repair effort, so I have to make sure that I deposit the check this morning so that I can write Deon's check this evening if they finish today. Otherwise they will probably finish up on Monday.
It's been dreadfully slow at the store this week. I don't know if that is because everyone was busy spending their money for classes at Bead & Button Show, if they are donating every spare penny to Haiti, or if the holiday bills have arrived and people are busy spending all available funds to dig themselves out of a holiday hole. Whatever the cause, it's creating a serious financial burden for me. I'm hoping that Friday and Saturday can pull the week out, but I'm not as hopeful as I usually would be. I think I'll start the day out at the shop by smudging thoroughly...
