Yippie...Skippie...The Weekend is Here

OK, I fully admit that I still have to work today - so my weekend is a bit truncated and shortened to a single day. But, it's still the weekend and those are two days for most people in the US that are filled with possibilities. Today I'll work (we'll hopefully be really busy at the shop and make lots of money so that I can buy lots of new inventory - LOL), and tomorrow I'll stretch my own creative boundaries by attending the ACC show in St Paul.
I look forward to this show every year. Since it always comes around income tax deadline time, I look at the show as one positive thing in a week that can be a real downer for many people. The craftspeople and artists that I have met at this show in the many years that I have attended have inspired the direction and quality of my own art. Even though many of my past friends no longer attend the St Paul show, there are other new friends who have taken their place. It is one of the rare times that both my DH and I share a goal and we both enjoy going to this one. I don't have a lot of money to spend, and may not purchase anything at all, but I'll have a very enjoyable few hours wandering the aisles, talking with the artists, and looking at wonderful, beautiful things.

I challenge each of you to spend some of your weekend with beautiful things. Visit a museum, go to an art gallery, walk in a park...or go to the ACC show in St Paul on Sunday. Perhaps I'll see you there.
