Most people in the working world have two days off in a row. There are other odd schedules out there, but the majority of people have what is colloquially called "the weekend". As a retailer, I count on that weekend to bring people through my door - at least Saturday. The tradeoff is that I only get Sunday off. I do think that the body needs that second day to recover and refocus for the work week ahead. Of the three of us, only VerLaine gets two days off in a row. The rest of us split our days. But today I really wish I had the day off to sleep in a bit more. Even in my regular Wednesday off I still wake up at 3:30am-4:00am to work on the computer and I still go to the shop to do the basic prep work before we can open for the day. The only difference is that I then leave the shop to do errands, housecleaning, laundry, and (hopefully) some enamel work.
My "Easter" holiday was pleasant. My DH started the day out by making us cheese omelettes with sausage links - yummy! I got my "Egg Seeker" badge on SuperPokePets in the afternoon by finding the final egg. Thank goodness for people posting locations in the forums since actually finding the egg would have been beyond my capabilities. And I played LOTRO for several hours with my DH. Then DH made an excellent dinner of stuffed chicken breasts, rice, and green beans almandine. And the Masters (golf for those of you who are not in the US or who don't follow sports) was excellent - coming down to a playoff between three people before ending up with Angel Carera pulling it off. So, now it's back to work . I want the day off instead - LOL.
