A Little Bit of This and a Little Bit of That

I'm still getting used to my new watch, but I think I like it. The pedometer portion seems fairly accurate, and the pool part also seems pretty good (as long as I remember to turn it on before my workout is half over - LOL). I'm going to have to try and get the settings into my brain, but they are starting to be more understandable. It survived Day 1, however, and I was just about as busy as I thought I would be with more than 8000 steps recorded by the end of the day.

I'm still getting used to the watch. Of course, that
only makes sense - it's new, it has new features,
and the instructions that come with it simply are
minimal, at best. But, I'm getting better at knowing
what it's trying to tell me.

We totally lucked out and didn't get any snow that actually stuck to the ground yesterday. I suspect today will be a different story, however. I think the snow will hit around noon, and before this run ends, we'll get 1-3 inches. I'm hoping for the one, but I suspect we'll probably be closer to the 3. However, since earlier in the week they had been predicting 8 inches, I'll take the three and be happy about it - LOL.

This is basically what 1"-3" of snow looks
like. If we keep up with shoveling the walk
in front of the store, the major job will only
be clearing off our cars at the end of the day.
We're used to that. We don't like doing it,
but it's kind of necessary before we can
actually drive home - LOL.

I learned yesterday that my BFF Sharon had injured herself earlier this year, and although she's well on the road to recovery, I'm asking for healing thoughts to be sent her direction for a few days to get her totally healed and well once again. Of course, she probably has (insert deity of your choice here) on her side, because so many people have been thinking positive and healing thoughts for her. But a few more certainly won't hurt. So please add her to your thoughts for the rest of the week and let's get her back to 100$ even faster!

Let's all send healing thoughts Sharon's
way today. She's back at work now, and
doing much better, but a little bit of a
push over the crest of the healing hill
will never go wrong.

I had a week or two where my store's website (beadstorm.com) simply disappeared. Of course, it's horribly out of date anyway, because the software is out of date and can't be altered. Nonetheless, I didn't want to abandon my domain name or the website, so I dug down into it, found out why, contacted the host firm, paid the bill I had forgotten to pay, and everything is back up and running again. Still out of date (seriously - by more than five years), but at least my digital footprint is there once again.

I had my website totally off-line for a week or so, but
decided I'd rather have it there again, even if it isn't
up-to-date. So, I got everything set back up and it's
accessible once again. Nothing is current, of course, I can't
edit the out of date software any more. But at least I have
a web presence, and that's important. This is the view
from my work station. Swarovski crystals on
the right, stone and chain ahead, belt straps hanging
from the upper right hand section.

So, life progresses. I hope all of you have a tremendous Thursday and accomplish great things - or at least one kindness today. I'm gathering up my stuff and heading to the pool soon. Maybe this time I'll remember to start my watch sooner than 1/3 of the way into my swim - LOL. Enjoy your day and Slava Ukraini. I'll be back tomorrow.
